TomTom takes the scenic route

Trickbox TV certainly proved to be the right route when TomTom wanted an interviewee in the UK to appear on a US TV news station.

TomTom asked its PR company, Starfish PR, to find a London-based TV studio to arrange a down the line (DTL) interview. The subject was TomTom's annual look at traffic congestion worldwide, and Trickbox TV was recommended for the unbeatable studio location and technical excellence.

The request was a test of Trickbox’s turnaround credentials, with everything needed within 24 hours of the booking. Trickbox TV fulfilled the brief from its stunning Tower Bridge TV Studios, which made for an even more impressive backdrop due to the night time film slot.

Trickbox TV fed the circuit to BT Tower so multiple broadcasters could connect and interview the TomTom spokesperson. Fox News was the recipient of the feed.

Sally Fearfield, Joint Managing Partner, Starfish PR, said: “Trickbox TV helped us to feed editorial output from the UK to the US directly to Fox News utilising TomTom’s traffic expert as interviewee.  With the need to be in two countries simultaneously, we needed a studio at the last minute with capabilities to provide a down the line feed.”

Sally added: “The bonus was the great live backdrop of Tower Bridge – a plus for any US or Canadian TV station.  The crew were excellent - friendly, easy to work with, knowledgable and totally trustworthy. Trickbox TV is certainly a company we will work with again.”
