Football comes to India... and London

Trickbox TV has provided studio and edit facilities for an HD documentary presented by football legend Ian Rush.

The documentary, provisionally titled Football Comes To India, examines the football culture in the country, which has recently seen the launch of the high profile Indian Super League. The film was largely shot in India, where Rush visited the Indian Super League team Mumbai City FC – managed until recently by fellow England legend Peter Reid.

Trickbox TV provided studio facilities at Tower Bridge TV Studios for an interview sequence with Ian, the London-centric backdrop providing a striking contrast to the Indian footage.

Edit facilities were also provided by Trickbox TV for the seven day edit.

“We chose Trickbox TV firstly because we knew they had experience with similar edit projects,” said Steve Rehman, Producer/Director, Football Comes To India. “The fact that they also manage Tower Bridge TV Studios meant that it was not only a perfect location for the interview with Ian but also very convenient to have the shoot and edit in the same place. They have done a great job on the documentary and were a pleasure to work with.”

The documentary has been picked up by Pitch International, a UK distribution company.
